Cora Madeline (Sanford) Stewart was born on 31 August 1920 in Clarence, Annapolis Co, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was the daughter of Carmen Sanford and Cora Tooker. ^[1]

Cora passed away on 10 February 2014 in Strathroy, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. She is buried in the Nairn Cemetery, Nairn, Ontario.

STEWART, Madelyn - Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy, on Monday, February 10, 2014. Madelyn Cora Stewart (Sanford) of Ailsa Craig at age 93. Beloved wife of the late John A. Stewart (1991). Loving mother of John M. and Jennifer of Ailsa Craig, Greg and Pat of Arizona, and Brian and Deb of Ailsa Craig. Dear Grammie of Angela, Crystal, Ryan and Liam; Carley, Scott and Amanda; Michael, Heather and Jake; and 7 great-grandchildren. Madelyn will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and their families. At Madelyn's request, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at Nairn Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or Sprucedale Care Centre. Memories or condolences at www.denningfuneralhomes.com. The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Sprucedale Care Centre for going above and beyond in their kindness and care towards Mom over the past 8 years.
