Samuel Scott Jr., was born 26 March 1858 in Ohio. He was the son of Samuel Scott and Mary Mills.
Samuel Scott Jr., was the last of 4 children from his father, Samuel Scott Sr. Sadly, Samuel Sr., passed away in 1858, just two months after his birth. His mother, now widowed, married his father's brother, William J. Scott in 1859 and they had an additional 8 children.
About 1880, he married Martha E. Redding/Ridding, the daughter of Marcus Redding and Eliza Ann Wise.
