Jay was born in Montevideo, Chippewa County, Minnesota, USA on Sept 10,1879. He was the son of James Severens and Mary Billings. He married Florence M. Docka Nov 8, 1910. They had a daughter Bernadine Florence Severens September 24, 1911 .They were Married for 15 years till Florence pass away on May 22, 1925. He gets remarried .and Marries Minnie (Westberg Person) on Jun 8, 1940 .They are married for 7 years Jay passes away Dec 1, 1947.
