Biography
Catherine Shafer was born about 1846 in Ohio. Her known siblings were Frederick Shafer (born 1857), Mary Shafer (born 1863), and Anna Shafer (4 June 1868 - 2 March 1945). Ohio County Marriages 1790-1950 shows that she married Lyman Huey on 28 June 1864 in Brown County. The time and place of her death is not known, but she is presumed dead before 1900 when her daughter Ida Belle is living with her uncle, George W. Room, in Hamilton, Butler County, in 1900.
