Birth

Note: FAG and his tombstone says he was born on April 15, 1868 but the 1880 Census shows he was born in 1873. Not sure which one is correct.

Death

William Owen died on January 25, 1938 in Howard County, Arkansas. He was buried in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Nashville, Howard, Arkansas.Find A Grave: Memorial #52198769

Census

:1880 Census. Newman Shuffield was living with his spouse, Sarah, along with seven of their children in De Roche, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was a farmer. This Census shows they were both 36 and he was born in TN and Sarah was b. in Alabama. The children in the home were as follows: Minty age 13; Henry age 11; Thomas age 9; William age 7; Hardy age 5; John age 3 and Richard Shuffield less than one year old.[1]
