Veteran Revolutionary War

Samuel Sheldon was First Lieutenant is Captain Ephraim Lake's Fifth Company, Thirteenth District Regiment, New York Lines and Militia, Saratoga District. Also in Commissary Department under General Schuyler and General Gates fighting Tories and Indians and collecting supplies between the Hudson River and Vermont from Lake Champlain to Stillwater and until the surrender of Bergoyne at Schuylersville, NY.
