Elizabeth married her second cousin Lewis Taylor who was born in Montgomery County, VA. Elizabeth's grandfather had moved from there after 1800, but the family apparently stayed in touch to affect more than one marriage between cousins. The 1900 census indicates Elizabeth had 6/4 children. Daughters Frances and Nancy died as toddlers. One source claims her firstborn was a son John W. Preston, born 1853, died 1853.
