Biography
Levi Chastain Shelton was born in Haywood County, North Carolina In 1825 to William Isaac Shelton and Lydia Parker Shelton. He married Mahala Colwell on 01 April 1855 in Haywood County, North Carolina. They had five Children. During The War, he served in Company K. 39th North Carolina Infantry, C.S.A.. After the War He Joined several Members of his family in moving to Ellis County, Texas. There they settled Down in the communities of Auburn and Maypearl where they were farmers. He was 59 or 60 when he Passed away in 1885.
