Biography

James was born in January of 1884. He was the son of George Shivers and Susan Virginia Berry. When James was born his father, George Washington Shivers, was 28 and his mother, Susan Virginia Berry, was 30.[1] He married Mamie McGlathery on 30 August 1908, in Navarro, Texas, United States.[2] They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He lived in Navarro, Texas in 1910[3] and in Stephens, Texas, in 1930.[4] He died on 26 March 1958, in Kemp, Kaufman, Texas[5] at the age of 74.[6][7]
