Biography
Jacob was born in 1868. He is the son of Jonathan Shotwell and Caroline Kinman.
He was married on 17 September 1890, Lincoln, Illinois, to Kathryn Alice Williams (b. 04 November 1869, Logan Co., Illinois; d. 6 Apr 1956), daughter of David Williams and Elizabeth Hester.
During the 1940 Census, he and his wife were living with their son Raymond Shotwell.
