Lisbeth Simensdatter Lundgård[1][2][3] was born on 24 August 1824 in at Lundgård farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.[4][5] She was baptised on Sunday 12 September 1824 in Ottestad, Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.[6][7] She was confirmed on Sunday 6 October 1839 in Ottestad, Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway. It was said of her schoolwork that she was "very good for knowledge and behaviour, right good (thinking?).[8]"
She married Even Evensen Sørum, son of Even Nielsen Bjørnstad and Agnete Christofersdatter Glestadeie, on Monday 15 November 1847 in Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway. She was 23 and her husband Even was 23. The banns had been read on the 3rd, the 10th and 17th of October of the same year.[9] Lisbeth and Even lived on 20 February 1848 in at Lundgård farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.[10]
She and Even Evensen Sørum moved with their daughter to Hamar, Hedmark, Norway, on 3 May 1852. Hamar is a large riverport town. Evidently this wasn't a permanent move as they were back in Stange in later years.[11] Lisbeth and Even lived in October 1854 in at Sveen farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.[12] She and Even Evensen Sørum moved with their daughter to at Glestad farm near the village of Byflaten Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway, mid 1855. Glæstad is a small town 34km to the north west of Stange.[13]
Lisbeth Simensdatter Lundgård was recorded as the spouse of Even Evensen Sørum in the 1865 census at at Sveum farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway. She was recorded as being 43 years old. Also in the house were five of her children.[14]
In 1867 Even bought Sørum farm from Marte Christensdatter for 400 spd.[15] Lisbeth and Even lived on 1 June 1867 in at Sørum farm near the town of Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway. Their children were also likely living with them.[16]
In 1870 Even sold Sørum farm to the 59 year old widow Tonette Christensdatter for a disappointing 350 spd.[17]
At the age of 45 Even and Lisbeth emigrated with their youngest six children (leaving their oldest child Agnethe in Norway) from Christiania (now Oslo), Norway, on 27 April 1870 on the "Josephine.[18][19]" Even and Lisbeth arrived at Quebec, Canada, on 22 June 1870; "Josephine."[20][21]
Lisbeth died in Wisconsin, U.S.A.[22] Her body was interred in Campbell Cemetery in La Crosse, La Crosse County, Wisconsin, U.S.A.[23]
