This profile will be revised if I find more documentation about death, etc.
See notes on George and Sarah (siblings). Oral history. In oral history from James I Cockrum, there was an infant that I listed as a male, but according to the census records, this was more likely Mary Catherine Simmons, a female. There was another female born in 1860, according to the census, May Cattie Simmons. I have an Annie Bell Simmons in oral history but this could have been a nickname. They were bad about that in the 1800's.
1860 Census Oral history from James Ireland cockrum Information furnished from Michelle Wiseman also. Wife of Mel Simmons was Mary Eubanks b. 1830 on 1860 census.
