Some sources give William's birthplace as Georgetown, DC; others say Frederick, Maryland. William's passport application of 1894 says District of Columbia.[1]
William worked as a theater manager in New York City[2].
He died in Massachusetts in 1899.[3] The New York Times published an obituary for him on 10 August 1899.[4]
His daughter Annie Isabel was the executor of his will.[5]
