Biography
- Willem Paulusz Sluijsken is baptized 1618-11-08 in Harderwijk, The Netherlands, as son of Paulus Sluyskens and Mechelt Canis.[1]
- Willem, wine trader, marries in 1643 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, with Maria van Waijen, born in Amsterdam. At the proclamation 1643-10-23 in Amsterdam Willem is 25 years old and assisted by his brother Paulus Sluijsken. Maria is 21 years old and assisted by her parents Jacques van der Waijen and Geertruijd Spiegel.[2]
- Three children are know as of Willem and Maria:
- Frederik Willems Sliesken, baptized 1644-08-18 in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam.[3]
- Paulus Willems Sluijsken, baptized 1646-05-10 in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam.[3]
- Geertruijt Willems Sluijsken, baptized 1647-03-12 in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam.[3]
- In ca. 1672 Willem intrusted to build a house at the Keizersgracht 719.[4]
- Willem passed away in 1678 in Amsterdam at the "Nieuwe Keizersgracht". His funeral was held 1678-04-20 in the Wester Kerk in Amsterdam.[5]
