Biography

Margaret (Slusher) Bennett was a settler in Ohio.
Margaret (Slusher) Bennett lived in Appalachia, in Ohio.

Margaret Slusher or Schlosser was born in Washington County, Pennslyvania, the daughter of Christoffel and Christina Schlosser.[1] She married William H Bennett.

Margaret and William settled in Guernsey County, Ohio, where Margaret can be found living with William and her family in 1850 and 1870.[2][3]

By 1880, Margaret was widowed, although she remained in Richland Township, Guernsey County, Ohio. There, she was listed as an 83 year old widow, born in Pennsylvania, and living with her daughter, M.J., then 41 years old and born in Ohio. According to the census, her father was born in Virginia and her mother in Maryland, and M. J.'s father was born in Maryland and her mother in Virginia.[4]

She is burried in Kennonsburg Methodist Church Cemetery in Kennonsburg, Noble County, Ohio.[5]

Margaret was born about 1795. She passed away about 1883.
