Sarah was born in 1811, the daughter of Elizabeth Minerva Ashby and Amos Smith Sr. She married David Jacob Vance on 12 Sep 1833 in Randolph County, Indiana. They had 6 children.
She passed away in 1864 in Carroll County, Iowa.
