Biography

Rose Mary Smith was born in the third quarter of 1911 at West Ham, London, England.^[1] She was the fourth daughter of Harry Smith and Edie Hills, and she had two younger sisters. Sadly their mother died when Rose was eleven years old. Their father ensured that they remained a closely united family, but only five years after her mother Rose also died. She was only 16 when she died from uraemia (kidney failure) on 7th July 1928 at St Mary's Hospital. Plaistow, London, England. ^[2]

Rose Smith died young.
