Biography

Seamstress by trade. Never married. She was the housekeeper for her brother, Henry Smith (III) for a time after he lost his first wife. It would seem she had some money at the time of her death and that she had loaned most of it to different members of her family. In reading the will of her mother, you will see that the mother took care in collecting these obligations due her late daughter. Ann was buried by the side of her father, who had died about a year before, in the old graveyard in West Liberty, Virginia, now West Virginia
