(The Village Messenger Newspaper, Fayetteville, TN, 25 Dec 1826): "On Thursday the 14th inst., Mr. Henry Smith to Miss Mary Hannah, daughter of Andrew Hannah.."
(History of Randolph County of Missouri, Historical Publishing Co, Topeka,KA, 1920, Alexander Waller, and family records): Henry moved with his father's family to MO in 1830 and was appointed in 1832 the first Constable of Chariton Twp in the northwest corner of Randolph Co, MO.
(Western Hist. Manuscript Collection, U.M. Columbia): Henry among five founders and first appointed Elders, 23 Dec 1832, Eldad Church, Randolph County, Missouri, under the care and control of the McGee Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His wife, Mary F. (Hannah) Smith, was also listed in the Constitution and Register.
