ried Nov. 24, 1714, Ann (b. Jan. 10, 1700, d cir 1748), daughter of
Thomas Smith and Ann Briscoe. His children as given in the Christ
Church Parish Register are as follows:
1. Jane, b. Sept. 25, 1715, married Aug. 12, 1735, John Vivion,
3rd. This is the "niece Jane Smith" mentioned in the will of her great uncle, Capt. John Smith, to whom reference is made later.
2. Frances, b. Sept. 16, 1717.
3. Rachel, b. Aug. 23, 1719, married April 13, 1738, William Grif- fen.
4. Alexander, b. June 22, 1721, d. Oct. 9, 1726.
5. Clara, b. Aug. 4, 1723, married (1) Garrett Daniel, (2) George Blakey.
6. Ann, b. Sept. 30, 1725, d. Sept. 6, 1734.
7. Maurice, b. Jan. 12, 1727, buried June 26, 1795, married May
