Biography

John Snider was born on 30 March 1783 in Rowan County, North Carolina,[1] the third of six known children and the youngest of three sons of Matthias and Elizabeth Eckle Snider.
Alternate spelling of surname: Snyder.[2]
On 2 April 1807, about a week after he turned twenty-four, he married Hannah Noftsinger.[3]
