Biography

Lucinda was born in 1838. She was the daughter of Henry Snook and Amy Snook. In 1891 she married Morello Hamilton Westenhaver.^[1] She passed away in 1918. ^[2]

Obituary

"MRS. WESTENHAVER, AN OLD RESIDENT, DIED SATURDAY NIGHT. Mrs. M. H. Westenhaver passed away Saturday evening about 10:30 at her home, 502 So. Third Street.....Lucinda Westenhaver was the daughter of Henry and Amy Snook, and was born in Richland County, Ohio, Nov. 7, 1838.....She came to Iowa in 1842 and Jefferson County has been her home almost continually from that time. Presbyterian Church.....On May 27, 1891 she was united in marriage to M. H. Westenhaver who with the following brothers and sisters survives her: H. E. Snook of Perlee, Dr. W. H. Snook of Madris, Oregon, and Mrs. O. I. Mofeet of Madris, Oregon....."^[3]
