The "Rowell Family Tree" on Ancestry.com says that Benjamin Snow was the son of Stephen Snow Jr. (1708-1773) and his wife, Rebecca (Snow) Snow (1710-bef.1773), whose father was named "Benjamin". As Eastham records are only available by paid $ subscriptions on Ancestry.com, more research is needed to confirm this parentage. Old Man Kew's usually-reliable RootsWeb profile for this man does not name his parents.
It's known that this Benjamin Snow, born in 1737-1738 on Cape Cod (Barnstable County, Mass. Bay), married Bathsheba (Thomas) Snow (abt.1742-) on 9 February 1760 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, New England. The couple lived in Eastham for the first dozen years of their marriage, then, after 1773 (Stephen Snow, Jr., died in 1773), they moved north first to Gorham, Cumberland County, Maine, and then to Buckstown (now Bucksport), Hancock County, Maine. Until 1820 Maine was a part of Massachusetts. Their last 4 daughters, including twin girls: Hannah & Anna Snow, were all born in Maine.
Old Man Kew assigns only 5 children to the couple: [3]
Reuben Snow: Birth: Abt 1762 in Massachusetts. Death: 10 Oct 1842 in Bucksport, Maine
Bathsheba Snow: Birth: est. 1764 in Massachusetts.
