Biography

European Aristocracy
Konrad Solms-Braunfels was a member of the aristocracy in Europe.

Conrad zu Solms-Braunfels, was born 17 June 1540, the only son of Philipp, Graf zu Solms-Braunfels, and his wife, Anna von Tecklenburg. He succeeded is father as Graf zu Solms-Braunfels in 1581.[1]

He married 16 June 1559 at Dillenburg, Elisabeth von Nassau-Dillenburg, daughter of Wilhelm 'der Reiche', Graf von Nassau-Dillenburg, and his second wife, Juliana von Stolberg-Wernigerode.[2]. Elisabeth was born 25 September 1542 at Dillenburg.[2]

They had issue of 14 children;[1]

Conrad zu Solms-Braunfels, died 27 December 1592[1] or 28 December 1592 at Braunfels[2] and was buried in Schlosskirche, Braunfels. See image of their grave here.
