Biography

Sarah Stafford married William Robinson in 1814 in Dickson County, TN. They had nine children together.

Notes

1840 Census Prairie Township, Washington Co., AR: Sarah Robinson with 7 boys and 3 girls.

1850 Census Prairie Township, Washington Co. AR: Sarah Robison, 52, Real Estate 1, TN; Luvicy, 27, TN; Aaron, 15, Ark.; Anson, 12, Ark. (Living next to Jackson Robison and wife Hester.).

Sarah died in the Salado area but it is unsure where her grave is. Per letter from son Sherrod Robinson to his brother David Elbert Robinson dated January 19, 1881 "I saw her buried, she was put away in a nice mahogany coffin, cost 15 dollars without any box, a nice black dress. Buried near the Solado an (as it is written in letter) Belton road near the Lampases Creek, live oak grove, white sandy land, only one nice fixed up grave on the grave yard. It looked like a lonely(sic) place." We assume that he is referring to the Lampasas River, which flows east to west just north of Salado, TX.
