Biography

Birth and Baptism
William, the son of Richard Stamp and his wife Sarah, née Kirkby, who had been married at Grayingham, Lincolnshire, on 14 June 1779,[1][2] was born at Goxhill, Lincolnshire, in 1789 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 16 February 1789.[3][4]

Marriage
William married Elizabeth Naylor by banns at St Lawrence' church, Thornton Curtis, Lincolnshire, on 31 January 1814. WIlliam was described as of this Parish. Witnesses were William Rose and Hannah Arnold.[5][6]

Children
William and Elizabeth had children:

  1. Thomas, born at Goxhill in 1814 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 21 August 1814. William's occupation was Labourer.[7][8] Thomas died at Goxhill when he was two years old and was buried at Goxhill on 1 January 1817.[9][10]
  2. Sarah, born at Goxhill in 1816 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 29 December 1816. William's occupation was Labourer.[11][12]
  3. William, born at Goxhill in 1819 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 4 April 1819. William's occupation was Labourer.[13][14] William died when he was about six months old and was buried at Goxhill on 28 November 1819.[15][16]
  4. Elizabeth, born at Goxhill in 1820 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 3 December 1820. William's occupation was Labourer.[17][18]
  5. Ann, born at Goxhill in 1823 and baptized at All Saints church, Goxhill, on 14 December 1823. William's occupation was Labourer.[19][20]
  6. William, born at Barton upon Humber, Lincolnshire, in 1826 and baptized at at St Mary's church, Barton upon Humber, on 30 May 1826. William's occupation was Labourer.[21][22] William died when he was about three months old and was buried at Barton upon Humber on 24 August 1826.[23][24]
