DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Roy or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Roy:

Thank you for participating in past Thons as a member of the Toddlin' Tortoises. If you decide to participate again in January's upcoming Connect a Thon, the registration this time will be somewhat different. (You can read about it here.) We would love to have you join us again, but whatever team you decide to join will be lucky to have you!

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Hi Roy,

It's OK with me if you want to make the changes. I'm not related to Stamps and will take my name off the Profile. I believe Stamp became mine when did the Orphan Trail. Thought I deleted those Profiles already. Take care, Hal

See: https://wikitree.sdms.si/Challenges/SourceAThon/2022/TeamAndUser.htm on tracking to open up your contribution list so you can review your work and possibly some tidying up.

Thanks again for this weekend, we look forward to working with you again.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for your contact, and especially for all the work you and the other leaders put in managing the England project.

Yes, I'm happy with my current choices, and also to joining OT2 when a trailblazer is available. I do find it fairly quiet in Lincolnshire (probably a bit like the County in real life!) in terms of activity. I'm working on my own projects, sometimes joining in when something catches my eye on Discord. On the whole, though, I find that Lincolnshire profiles seem to be very sparse, and I only rarely connect with existing profiles.

Best regards, Roy

Hi Roy

The Connect A Thon was fun, we hope you enjoyed yourself and are recovering. Thank you for joining us, it is appreciated. Our combined score was 13,335 51 more than the last CAT so well done.

The total overall figure was 84,388 new profiles added and numerous connections made. The total figure was down 1,451 on the January Thon

Check your personal figures here - https://wikitree.sdms.si/Challenges/ConnectAThon/TeamAndUser.htm (gives you a target for the next event)

Thanks again for last weekend, we look forward to working with you again in 3 months.

Hi Roy,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like England would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Changing your tag to England will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hi Roy

You have been a member about a week. How is it going so far. Was the first page of the How-Tos helpful or did it leave you with questions? Page one has information regarding tags

If you amend your first tag to

United_Kingdom

or

England

Lincolnshire

You will improve the links into the community

If you click the green tags on your profile page, you'll see if other members are following the tag

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Hi there, Roy!

We are delighted to welcome you to the WikiTree community!

You have been confirmed as a full member. Please start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time and energy as you add profiles.

If the links in emails don't work correctly, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

If you have any questions, please ask as I am always happy to help!

Deb ~ WikiTree Greeter

P. S. I see that you are following the Walsmsley surname tag. By clicking on the tags you follow, you can see which other members share your interests. You may find a long-lost cousin. It might even be me as I have Walsmleys in my tree!
