Biography

John Stanfield was born in 1843 in Mississippi. By 1850 John's parents, Evan Stanfield and Eliza Birge Stanfield, had moved to Washington Parish, Louisiana. John was seven years old on the 1850 census. [1]

John married Elizza Ann Butter 12 February 1868 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. [2]

John and Elizza had one child Clara Stanfield, before John died about 1872. There are no sources for this date by Elizza Butter Stanfield married Eli Lyles about 1873 and their first child was born in 1874.
