Obituary-Richmond Palladium Item Feb. 17, 1941-Mrs. Ella Stanley Smelser Mrs. Ella Stanley Smelser, 80 years old, daughter of Levi and Susannah Stanley, a native of Wayne Co. died Sunday night at the home of her daughter in Anderson. She was born in Wayne Co. Aug. 15, 1860. She was the widow of Thomas Smelser, the couple having married Nov. 28, 1883. Survivors include the daughter, a sister Mrs. Anna Eliza Church, Los Angeles, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services....will be held at Elkhorn Cemetery.

Ella was born in 1860. She was the daughter of Levi Stanley and Susannah Butler. She passed away in 1941.
