George Stansell moved west from his home of New York to what is now Wyandot Country,Ohio, in 1836. At the time of this move he had four children: Andrew, Alexas, Julia and Joseph- who was 4.
George and company built logs cabins and this farmstead would be near the Wyandot Indian tribe in what is now upper sandusky. it is believed that George built the first frame house in all of Wyandot. As of 1947 it was stills standing. the glass was brought in from a trading post now known as the town of Bucyrus
