Biography
Jonathan Starr, the son of Comfort Starr, was born 16 Feb 1702 at Guilford and died 4 Sep 1765 at North Guilford. He was a tailor by trade.[1]
He married Abigail Cadwell, the daughter of Matthew of East Guilford (later Madison). She was born 28 Apr 1698 at Hartford and died 6 Feb 1746. Children:[1]
Abigail Starr, b. 1728; d. 10 Oct 1751 at East Guilford
Comfort Starr, b. 1731; d. 25 Aug 1731 at North Guilford
Timothy Starr, b. ~1740; d. 26 Sep 1752 in his 12th year
Lucy Starr, d. 28 Dec 1816 at East Guilford; "tradition says she was a beautiful woman - the record, that she had 4 husbands.[1]" Married:
Simeon Dudley, son of Jonathan and Abigail Munger Dudley, of East Guilford, b. 6 Feb 1726, d. 9 Aug 1752 at sea. Children:
Lucy Dudley, b. 1 Feb 1745 or 8; m. David Hoyt; removed to VT
Simeon Dudley, b. 1 Sep 1750; d. 17 Mar 1736 [sic]; m. Lydia Munger; resided at East Guilford
Abigail Dudley, b. 30 Dec 1752; d. 28 Oct 1846; m. 16 Aug 1772, Jared Willard; resided at East Guilford
Nathan Meigs, son of Recompense and Phebe Goodale Meigs, b. 5 Nov 1732; d. 1769-70; one child:
Nathan Meigs, b. 1 Feb 1758; d. 7 May 1810 by drowning in the Connecticut River; m. Mary Parmelee, who d. 12 Dec 1843, age 84, in Guilford; 4 children
