Biography

William Cushing Stetson was born in March, 1835 ^[1][A] at Charlestown, Massachusetts. ^[2][3] He was the son of Lemuel Stetson and Margaret Snow. ^[3]

In 1850, age 15, he is listed as living with his parents and siblings in Charlestown, Massachusetts on 5 Sep 1850. No occupation is recorded, but he had attended school in the last year. ^[4]

He passed away in September, 1850, age 15 years, 9 months of "inflamation of the Bowell," or "Diarrhoea" ^[5] unmarried, at Cohasset, Massachusetts. ^[2] He was originally buried in the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, ^[6] but was moved to the Newton Cemetery, Newton, Massachusetts, where he is buried with his father. ^[7]
