Everhardus Henricus Stiggemeyer was born on or a few days before 8 December 1737 in Osnabrück, Osnabrück, Heiliges Römisches Reich, son of Gerhardus David Stigemeyer (~1702–1759) and Maria Elisabeth Hövelmeyer ( –1773).[1] He was baptised in the cathedral of Osnabrück, Dom St. Petrus, on 8 December 1737.[1] His godparents were Everardus Henricus Dircker and Anna Xtina Maria Hardinghauß, and his baptismal witness was Joannes Henricus Elbert.[1]
