Biography
James may have been born about 1775 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. This date is estimated based on age 25 at marriage in 1800. His parents are said to be William Stone and Ann Forgey; this is unconfirmed.
James married Ann Talbott on 7 January 1800 in Bourbon County, Kentucky.[1] On 3 January 1800 D. M. Talbott signed a consent for the marriage of his daughter Ann.[2] Bond was posted by James Stone and Peyton Calvert on 4 January 1800.[3]
