Biography

Frederick "Fred" King Stumbo was born 9 Mar 1872, in Lockwood, Dade County, Missouri. His parents were William Stumbo and Mary Wilson. He married Ida Mae Ransford 24 Aug 1896, in Canadian County, Oklahoma. Frederick "Fred" King Stumbo passed away 6 May 1956 (aged 84), in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas and is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery there.[1][2][3]

"Fred King Stumbo (our father) is the ancestor of our family. He was born in Missouri in 1872; married IDA MAE RANSFORD (Scotch-Irish) in 1896. To this marriage, six living children were born, namely, ERNERST LEO STUMBO, ORA EVERETT STUMBO, RICHARD WILLIAM STUMBO, BEULAH MAY (STUMBO) WEEKS, WALTER GLENN STUMBO AND CHARLES RAYMOND STUMBO. One child, born approximately one year after ERNEST, died at birth." Walter Glenn Stumbo.[4]
