Robert Sturgeon was born in 1825 in Miramichi, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada, his father, James, was 29 and his mother, Catherine, was 27. He married Jane Corbett. He died on October 4, 1915, in Lincoln, Maine, at the impressive age of 90
