Johann Wendel Sturm was baptized 28 Mar 1709 to Christian Sturm and his wife Anna Barbara, née Gah of Schifferstadt in the Bishopric of Speyer (now in the Rhein-Pfalz-District of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). The entry says:
"On March 28th 1709 was baptized Johann Wendel, son of Christian Sturm and his wife Anna Barbara of Schifferstadt. Godparents: Johann Wendel LaForge."[1]
[1732] On November 17th got married in Iggelheim Johann Wendel Sturm, son of Christian Sturm of Klein-Schifferstadt; and Christina Margretha, daughter of Hans Georg Ebbert from here. Both are still unmarried.[2]
Research Notes
One tree gave death date as November 17, 1732 in Frederick, MD[3]. Another tree gives death date as October 18, 1796, also in Frederick. Tree on source S-1743004786 also gives October 18, 1796 death date.[4]. More research is needed to find actual death date.

There are two Wendel Sturms. There is this profile, christened 1709, son of Christian & Anna Barbara. He may be the man who emigrated with a wife & 4 children from Germany to the Colonies in 1749 [1]. If he did so, it would make sense for him to settle near his brother Johann Jacob Sturm the Elder in Frederick, Maryland.
Then there is the other Wendel Sturm (often called Storm), the nephew of the above, son of Johann Jacob Sturm the Elder. He emigrated with his family as a small child in 1728. He was alive in 1757 and probably living in Frederick, Maryland, when his father named him in his will, proved in Frederick. So the two men could easily be confused.
