Franklin Sweet was born in Somerset, England.

Frank was born in England in 1846, and was baptized at Wedmore in Somerset on 8 March 1846, a son of Edward Sweet and Elizabeth Wall - his parents were living at Heathhouse, Wedmore, Somerset at the time of his baptism. [1][2]

Frank's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1846 in the Axbridge Union district.[3]
