Biography

Leah was born on 12 April 1818[1] or 12 April 1819. [2]She was the daughter of Jacob Teeter and Margaret Ling.

She married Edward Hatferly Ramsey on 25 April 1839 in Knox, Ohio.[3]After his death, she married James F. Halferty on 17 February 1853 in Richland, Ohio.[4]

They had a combined family of seven or eight children and moved from Ohio to Iowa about 1853. They had another 4 children born before a divorce about 1862.[5]

She passed away on 22 December 1888 at Richland, Keokuk, Iowa. She was buried in the Old Methodist Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa.[6]

Teeter-713 and Teeter-703 appear to represent the same person because: same person but with different death dates. The one I have in my records is 22 December 1888.
