Biography

Elizabeth Ann Temby was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Temby. She may be the Elizabeth baptized at St Agnes near Truro Cornwall in January 1832 ^[1] or the Elizabeth baptized in Camborne Cornwall in 1836 ^[2] The previous Elizabeth Temby may have been a sister.

In 1851 a Temby family was living in Camborne where Elizabeth’s husband Joseph Bennett was from. Her father Edward was a carrrier ^[3] She has a sister Mary aged 11. This may be Elizabeth Bennet’s Family however I must note that another family has this Elizabeth married to someone else. Thomson-4079

Elizabeth Ann Temby married Joseph Bennetts in Redruth Cornwall in 1855^[4]

Elizabeth and Joseph emigrated to South Australia where Joseph was a miner.

BENNETT-On the 1st May, at Lyndhurst, Barham, New South Wales, Elizabeth Ann, relict of the late Joseph Bennett of Kerang, loved mother of Edward Albert (deceased), Richard (deceased), Matthew (Yannathan), Emma (Mrs. C. A. Eagle, Barham), Thomas (deceased).^[5]
