Biography
Oliver H. Perry "O.H.P." Terrell was born November 14, 1830, in Orange county, Virginia, a son of Buckner Terrell and Jane Smith Webb. [1]
On August 29, 1856, O.H.P. Terrell married Mary J. Coleman, a daughter of Clayton G. Coleman. Oliver was 25 and Mary was 22, and this was the first marriage for each of them. [2] The ceremony was performed at Jerdone Castle, a plantation located in Bumpass, Louisa County, Virginia, the home of Mary's father, General Clayton G. Colman (1807-1872).
