Charlotte (Thebeau) Thébeau is a descendant of an Acadian
Charlotte was born on 29 December 1776 in Nipisiguit (present-day Bathurst, New Brunswick which was administered at the time by Nova Scotia Colony). She had a lay baptism at birth by Olivier Blanchard and baptized with full ceremony on 10 October 1777 in Nipisiguit. The event was entered in the Carleton parish register. [1]She was the daughter of Mathurin Thébeau and Catherine Duval. Her sponsors were François Aubertin and Charlotte Aubrys.
She married Jacques (Jacob) Tegue, (parents not named) widower of Marguerite Wever, on 19 September 1796 in Caraquet. [2]
Research Notes
According to researcher Marcel Walter Landry, Charlotte married Jean Baptiste Boudignon, son of Jean Baptiste Boudignon and Angèle Chanon, on 30 September 1834 in Paspébiac. [3]
In the marriage record she was listed as Charlotte LeBlanc, widow of Jacob Teique from Paspebiac. Her parents were not named. PRDH does not give parents for her. [4] His name is Bourdignan.
