Biography

Mary, aka Mollie, was the daughter of Albert J and his first wife, Sarah (Moore) Thompson. She was born in April 1860. Her gravestone and findagrave have 17 April 1861, however she is 3/12 mos. old on the 1860 Census, which was taken in July of that year.^[1] This shows she was born in 1860, not 1861.

Mary married the widower Ithiel Harney 20 March 1879. Mary and Ithiel are shown on the 1880 Census with her husband's son Louis Norman Harney who was born in 1874^[2]. Ithiel Harney's first wife died after the birth of her second child in 1876 (died in infancy). Mary became step-mother to Louis Norman Harney and had additional children with Ithiel, listed below.
