Charlotte was born in Saltmarshe, Yorkshire, England, and was baptised nearby in Laxton in 1831. She was the daughter of Jane Thompson.[1]
At the time of the 1851 census Charlotte worked as a domestic servant and lived with the Richardson family in Bellasize, Yorkshire – her mother had married Thomas Richardson.[2]
On New Year's Eve 1857 Charlotte married Robert Wood in Eastrington, Yorkshire.[3][4] They lived in Bellasize in 1861[5] and in Greenoak in 1871.[6] Robert died in 1872 at the age of 47.[7]
Charlotte married George Scott in 1876[8] and in 1881 the couple lived in Wallingfen, Yorkshire. George worked as a farm labourer.[9] He had died by 1891, when Charlotte lived in Hull, Yorkshire, with her son and daughter.[10] In 1901 Charlotte lived in Hull with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Charles Drake.[11]
Charlotte gave her maiden name as Richardson when registering the births of her children. Fuller-8857 18:58, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
