Biography

Mary A Tinsley was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Catheys Creek, Transylvania County, North Carolina for the April 16, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1905 in North Carolina and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head George H Tinsley, wife Mary E Tinsley, daughter Florence E Tinsley, son James M Tinsley, son John W Tinsley, daughter Georgia E Tinsley, daughter Jessie M Tinsley, daughter Elsie E Tinsley, son Robert A Tinsley, son George N Tinsley and son Jefferson D Tinsley.[1]

Alice Tinsley was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Easley Road, Brushy Creek, Anderson County, South Carolina for the January 30, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1906 in North Carolina and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head George Tinsley, wife Marietta Tinsley, son Asie Tinsley, son Nathan Tinsley and son Jeff Tinsley.[2]

Mary Alice "Shug" Tinsley Hamlin is buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.[3]
