William Tonkin was born in Cornwall, England.

William was born about 1829. He is the son of John Tonkin and Rebecca Nankivell.

He married Alice Kate Skewes in 1892 in Tavistock, Devon. [1]

He passed away in 1903. [2] [3]

Research Notes

Cannot locate living in Devon from 1861-1891, as he was a mining engineer perhaps he travelled as his family did to Canada. Needs further research.
