Biography
Cora Torian is a part of US Black heritage.
Cora was interviewed by Mamie Hanbery in 1936 at Hopkinsville, Kentucky as part of the Slave Narratives project. [1]
Cora's mother, Belle Childress was the property of Andrew Owen.[2][3]

Erroneous info on death record? Two death records show Belle or Isabelle Childress having two daughters Maria and Cora Belle born 1877 by two fathers: George H Shaw and Tom Torian.
