Peter Trachsel/Troxell I was born 6 Nov 1691, Lenk, Simmental, Bern Canton, Switzerland to Jakob Trachsel (1652 - 1721) and Margaretha Brengal (1654 - 1721).[1]
He emigrated from Switzerland, traveling to Philadelphia in the ship "Samuel" with his wife Juliana Catharina and two sons, Peter, aged 9, and Daniel, aged 7, and a daughter Barbara, on August 17, 1733.[2][3]
He settled at Egypt, Whitehall Township. They were the parents of at least eight children, named in his will: Peter, Daniel, David, John, Christian, Frederick, Julianah, and Margaritha.
