Information on the children of Shadrach and Susannah Tripp Waite is from "The Family Records of Thomas Wait of Portsmouth, Rhode Island", Collected, Compiled and Published by John Cassan Wait, New York, New York, 1904. [3]
Research Note:
Susannah Wait, her daughters Ruth and Sarah Wilkinson Wait are mentioned in the will of her aunt Ruth Tripp.
In the George Soule supplement by GSMD, Susannah's birth is estimated at 1759. However, based on her age of 81 in the US 1850 Census, Northampton, New York[4]and her age as 91 in the US 1860 Census of Putnam, Livingston, Michigan,[5] If Susannah's birth was in 1759 she would have been 57 years old at the time her daughter Sarah Wilkinson was born.
The GMSD attributes the birth date of 15 Apr 1869 to Susannah Tripp, daughter of Daniel Tripp brother of Joshua. No record of this Susannah has been found. Daniel Tripp details his children and grandchildren in his will and there is no mention of a daughter Susannah.
