William Trogdon, Patriot, rendered material aid to the Revolutionary War as evidenced by the ledger listing # 3883 from the USA to N C. His will is on record as of April 4, 1805 in Randolph Co, NC Will Bk 3 pg 26. In it he names his sons Samuel, Ezekiel, Solomon, John, and William.
There was a misleading research concerning his parents possibly being a couple in England with a baby (thought to be our William) but the baby deceased in less than a year. It was back when the years started differently than in January and the researchers had not checked that. Hence a myth widely believed. Glenda Trogdon referred me to a website that disproves the myth.
